How Gathering Works
Section titled “How Gathering Works”- Fly to a sector containing the resource
- Make sure you have the matching harvesting device installed on your ship
- Use the gather action (costs 1 energy)
- The amount gathered depends on your skill level
Resource Visibility
Section titled “Resource Visibility”At skill level ~50, you can see the remaining amount of a resource in a sector. Below that, you gather blind — the sector might be nearly depleted without you knowing.
Planet-Only Resources
Section titled “Planet-Only Resources”Crystals, Organics, and Void Essence can only be sold at planets, not at player stations. This makes them riskier to trade but often more profitable due to less competition.
Skill Investment Strategy
Section titled “Skill Investment Strategy”Most players specialize in 2—3 resource skills rather than spreading points thin. Consider:
- What resources are available in the systems you frequent
- What’s profitable — check planet buy prices before investing
- Your ship’s cargo capacity — bulk resources need bigger holds
